Welcome to the official home page of the European Teenagers` Summit 2011!

Based on the National Children Summits, the federal association of German Young Nature Friends is organising the European Teenagers' Summit in Hanover (Germany). During the first week of October 2011, young people aged 15-20 years old from different European countries will gather for discussing challenges of environmentally sustainable development and equal opportunities under the slogan:

"Sustainabilityland... it's not a foreign country "

The main purpose of the Summit is to bring participants from all over Europe together for discussing challenges of environmentally sustainable development and equal opportunities in a globalized world. The aim is to encourage young people to participate actively in social and political life of their local community. Stimulation of the knowledge sharing among the European countries is also a central goal of the Summit. 

Event Program

The Teenagers` Summit offers a platform for the participants to exchange their opinions, to formulate in a contract what they expect from politicians and to discuss their demands at the final panel discussion. The following program is planned:

1st day (Oct, 1th):arrival of the participants, dinner, welcome ceremony
2nd day (Oct, 2th): introduction for the day, theoretic workshops, getting to know Hanover, movie in the evening
3rd day (Oct, 3th): theoretic and creative workshops, free time program, intercultural evening
4th day (Oct, 4th): workshops, free time program, party
5th day (Oct, 5th): panel discussion, farewell ceremony

Workshops

There will be nine workshops (four theoretic and five creative) that all have sustainable development and international cooperation as main topics.
